Annual Report 2017-18

I take immense pleasure to present the Annual Report of our school for the year 2017-’18 to apprise you all, how the mission and philosophy of Greets Public School have materialized positively in the day to day working of our school in the voyage of the discovery of excellence in the field of education. GPS is accredited for decades as one of the well disciplined schools in Kochi and is located in the heart of the city with state –of-the Art infrastructure and facilities to encourage and facilitate the learning process. It also strivers for excellence in all spheres of character formation, discipline and education of a child.

The year 2017 was a year of grief & pain for us, as we had lost our beloved Aunty Greet- Ms. Edith Virginia Greet (97), Director of the Bethel Foundation and founder of Greets Public School who passed away at 2.10 pm on Monday 20th February 2017, by leaving everlasting fond memories. At the age of 27, she came from New Jersey, USA to India to help the poor. She raised the poor, especially girls educated them. Her adoration for dolls stemmed from her genuine affection for children, which paved the path of the formation of Bethel Foundation. The funeral was held on  Monday, 27th February 2017 and all well wishers staff, students, parents and former students came to pay homage to our dear aunty Greet, as she was called by them.  She was always a motivation for children and had a special way with kids and everybody was so fond of her. She always reminded the children that they could achieve anything in life, if they followed her motto, ‘I can, I will, I did’.
